About Us

I started It Takes A Village NW out of a deep passion for my community and a love for family. Not only am I a mom to 4 amazing people but I am an Aunt as well. Two of my nephews fall into the Autism spectrum and I've seen first hand some of the obstacles their mother, my little sister, and her loving husband have overcome. Not only has she spent countless hours reading every parenting book she could find, developing above-par parenting skills, she has also had to endure many challenges trying to find the right kind of support. 

With over 20 years experience in the healthcare industry, I developed a deep passion for being a part of a community who serves others. My career started as a caregiver in the senior housing industry. Over the years, I worked my way up the corporate ladder, holding various regional management level positions and managing multi-million dollar portfolios. While I loved my career, l was inspired to move in a new direction of healthcare to focus on; serving our community. 

I am a mother, a wife to my best friend of over 24 years, a published author, and an expert in Leadership. I have found the best way to live is through a life of service to others. It is my purpose and the reason why I am here.
